We’re so excited to welcome you back to one of the happiest places on the farm – our sunflower fields! Sunflowers 2025 promises more colour, more nature, and more to explore than ever before.
What’s New This Year?
🌻 Two Stunning Sunflower Patches
The first sunflower patch will be ready mid July and be in full bloom well into August, with our second patch blooming not far behind. When in bloom each patch will be thoughtfully designed with barked pathways to guide you through a golden sea of bloom. Enjoy a few new quirky features integrated in your experience for perfect photo opportunities.
🌳 Reimagined Forest Trail
Take a wander through our peaceful forest walk, now dotted with new magical places and even more areas for little adventurers to explore. See how much more our hand planted trees have grown this year from your last visit.
🏡 The Hoop House
We’re opening up our brand-new, beautifully designed Hoop House polytunnel—a polytunnel/indoor farm venue for pop-up events, floral workshops, and private hire. It will be dressed for the season and open to wanderers during key dates.
🪴 The Potting Shed
New for 2025, The Potting Shed is a charming addition nestled near the fields. Pop by for a peek at what’s growing, grab a coffee from our coffee machine, or learn about what might soon be blooming at future events.
🛝 Children’s Play Area
Let the little ones burn off some energy in our new Messy Play NI, wooden equipment play zone, designed with imagination, safety, and seasonal fun in mind, helping to stimulate imaginative and creative play whilst fitting with our natural environment.
🐄 Say Hello to the Highland Cows
No visit is complete without a wave (and maybe a moo) from our much-loved Highland Cows. You might even spot Luna or Blue peeking through the flowers.
Sunset & Sunrise Sessions
This year, we’re adding something extra special—exclusive Sunrise and Sunset Sessions in the sunflower fields. These ticketed experiences will allow you to enjoy the golden magic of the fields at the quietest and most beautiful times of day. (These will run in addition to our separate Sundown Stems event in conjunction with The School Garden)
Limited tickets will be released ad hoc throughout the season and announced on our social media channels. All tickets must be pre-booked through our website for our sunset and sunrise sessions. (If you are visiting us during our regular day time opening hours, you can pay on arrival.)
Whether you’re a photographer, a nature lover, or simply want a peaceful experience among the blooms, these sessions are for you.
Accessibility Sessions
We know that the bark paths and rustic terrain can be a challenge for some of our visitors with restricted mobility. That’s why we’re offering dedicated accessibility sessions on select dates during the season.
🕘 Sessions will run from 9–10am and 5–6pm, allowing those who need it to drive closer to the sunflower field and enjoy our mobility-friendly sunflower enclosure—a specially designed space for easier access and comfort.
🚗 Please note: for health and safety reasons, vehicles cannot access the sunflower fields during general opening hours. These sessions are the only times when car access to the field is permitted.

🐶 Dog-Friendly Days
We’re delighted to welcome friendly, lead-only dogs. Bring them along for a sniff around the forest or a pose among the petals!

🌱 Please note: our terrain is naturally rustic and uneven. While beautiful, some areas may not be suitable for wheelchairs or prams—we appreciate your understanding.

🌻 Pick Your Own Sunflowers
Want to take a piece of the joy home? Head to our Pick Your Own area, where stems are just £1 each. Please bring your own secateurs and pay into the honesty bucket provided. PYO is only permitted in clearly marked zones (please note that this is separate to our Sundown Stems event which is being held in conjunction with The School Garden).

Our pop-up kiosk is back—offering everything from refreshing drinks to home-baked treats, along with beautiful handcrafted items from local makers.

This year, we’re proud to be donating a portion of the proceeds to the Northern Ireland Hospice, helping support their life-changing work.
