Autumn Festival

Flavour First’s Autumn Festival 2024

Welcome to Flavour First’s Autumn Festival taking place on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of September — a celebration of the harvest season, family fun, and all things cosy and quaint. Join us this autumn for a magical experience that captures the essence of the season, right here on our family farm in Donaghadee.

*Please note that this is a doggy friendly event and your furry friends will be welcomed with open arms! All dogs must be kept on leads*

What to Expect

Immerse yourself in the beauty of autumn as you explore our farm, decked out with vibrant seasonal displays and charming photo spots perfect for capturing memories. Our festival offers a little something for everyone, from hands-on harvest activities to delightful attractions that will keep the whole family entertained.

  • Harvest Your Own Squash: Wander through our homegrown pumpkin patch and pick your own squash—whether it’s a classic pumpkin or one of the unique shapes and colours that September brings. Gardening gloves and secateurs are recommended for this activity.
  • Mini Gruffalo Trail: Set off on an adventure in our forest field with the Gruffalo Trail. Perfect for little explorers and fans of the beloved Julia Donaldson story, this trail will bring the magic of the forest to life. Please be aware that the terrain at our event is naturally uneven and may be best described as ‘off-road’. As a result, some areas may not be easily accessible for prams or wheelchair users. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
  • Wooly Orchard & Autumn Displays: Enjoy the sights of our wooly orchard and other autumnal decorations, carefully crafted to highlight the beauty of the season. These spaces offer perfect backdrops for photography, making it easy to capture the spirit of autumn with your loved ones.
  • Disco Shed & Entertainment: Dance to your heart’s content in our unique Disco Shed or enjoy other family-friendly activities like arts and crafts, or relax in our cosy book corner.
  • Meet the Highland Cows: Get up close with our popular Highland Cows, including Iona, Skye, and Murren. Don’t miss the chance to learn more about these majestic creatures during your visit.
