Fresh Food for all seasons
Summer - Boxes Full of Sunshine.
New season produce ready from early summer onwards. Planting continues for winter crops. Fields and Polytunnels are bursting with delicious new season crops. At this time of year we get excited about our popping peas, crunching carrots, succulent strawberries and the unique flavour of freshly dug new potatoes.
Autumn - Harvest Heaven
Autumn brings an abundance of seasonal produce to harvest. We look forward to local apples, plums and pears for the fruit bowl, peeling back the husk of a golden sweetcorn and a big pot of pumpkin soup.
Winter - Winter Warmers and Festive Fun
Winter brings its own fantastic flavours and our boxes are full of wonderful local veg that will inspire ‘out of the box’ creative cooking. December brings the Christmas rush and January the New year’s resolution to eat well. During the cold weather we enjoy bubbling broths and delightful dishes made from leeks, celeriac, purple sprouting broccoli, parsnips, sprouts and the much awaited January King cabbage.
Spring - A Fresh End to "The Hungry Gap"
Longer day light allows for growing and field work to begin. Sowing and planting and hoping for kind weather conditions so that the new season crops can spring forward and shorten the imminent ‘Hungry Gap’.
